Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift

Responsibilities
- Safeguard the production process by performing daily inspections and taking immediate corrective actions.
- Lead safety audits, promote ergonomic practices, and ensure compliance with HACCP and USDA regulations.
- Maintain product quality by enforcing Food Safety and Quality plans, training employees on safe operating procedures, and ensuring tasks adhere to product specifications.
- Track and analyze production yields, efficiencies, and variances, and collaborate with managers to optimize workflows and reduce costs.
- Direct and coach hourly production employees, aligning them on safety, quality, and production goals, and lead monthly line meetings.
- Analyze key product performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and suggest enhancements to production efficiency, cost reduction, and quality maintenance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Business or a related field, with 2+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience leading training, coaching, or mentoring less experienced staff or managing processes/projects.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to solve complex process issues and perform solid analysis and math.
- Skilled in motivating, training, and coaching employees to achieve peak performance while fostering a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment.
- Adaptable to fast-paced, dynamic environments, capable of working in varying conditions, and willing to work long hours and weekends when needed.
Qualifications
- Experience in food processing, leadership, and manufacturing.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
Skills
- Knowledge of yields, plant efficiencies, and operations procedures.

Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Wet or humid conditions, extreme cold and heat, working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals.
- Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud when in the production area.
- Frequent lifting and moving up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
- Frequent standing, walking, using hands to finger, handle, or feel, reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, and talking or hearing.
