Responsibilities

• Responsible for the safe manufacture of company products which may represent a broad diversity of manufacturing processes.
• Satisfy all quality and productivity requirements in the most cost-effective manner.
• May supervise multiple functions and/or shifts typically through shift/department leads.
• Responsible for a lesser span of control and/or require a lesser level of demonstrated expertise in manufacturing and process skills than an Area or Section Manager.

Requirements

• Education: Minimum Associates degree in Management, Engineering or related disciplines, B.S. degree or equivalent preferred. Equivalent background considered.
• Personal Characteristics: Able to meet deadlines and be accountable for quality/quantity. Able to work flexible hours with a history of dependability as demonstrated with strong attendance record. Comfortable using a team approach to problem solving. Have strong sense of urgency. Individual must be a motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently. Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that gets along with customers, clients, co-workers and supervisors.
• Work Experience: Minimum of one to three years of industrial supervisory or similar leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Equivalent background would involve a minimum of five years casting operations experience with progressive responsibility.

Skills

• Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must have strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Must have knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality assurance standards.
