Primary Responsibilities & Duties
- Drive employee engagement, training, and NES deployment
- Hold Team Leads and all team members accountable to sustain 5S in all areas of their department(s) (5S= Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain)
- Maintain and coordinate production schedule to include managing OT and headcount needs
- Supervise and develop Team Leads; complete performance reviews, identify personnel and overtime requirements; work with management on staffing resolutions; address employee relation concerns; manage direct reports time keep and vacation in organization’s time keep program
- Enforce policy compliance; manage Team Leads and team members performance through Nelson Discipline process
- Facilitate in partnership with safety leadership, near miss investigations, safety, and employee incidents
- Recommend, drive and support Continuous Improvement projects
- Ensure employee satisfaction and follow up on employee relations concerns. This includes overseeing performance evaluations for consistency and fairness to company standards and expectations and between teams
- Work with HR around employee issues, investigation, and policy conformance
- Keep department(s) safe and Clean (5S= Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain)
- Provide leadership with production and financial information as requested to ensure we meet our business needs
- Complete timely and accurate paperwork
- Delegate responsibilities as needed
Required Education & Experience
- 5-7 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
- Min of 2-3 years’ experience in a supervision or leadership role
Preferred Experience
- Experience developing leaders is preferred
Skills & Abilities
- Understanding of manufacturing processes
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- The ability to attend and complete Training on off hours. Complete Mandatory Leadership classes
- Proficiency in reading and writing
- Organizing, Planning, and Prioritizing work
- A common approach to continuous improvement
- A team player with a very positive attitude, willing to be a champion of change
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- The ability to communicate professionally and effectively with people at all levels of the organization
