Job Position Summary: : You will be responsible for leading a team and oversee daily operations, to include coordination of production and assembly of our products within acceptable quality standards to meet productions goals. You must have: A high School Diploma or Equivalent, Degree preferred. Proficiency in CNC machining processes, equipment operation, and programming. Prior experience in managing, leading or coaching a team within a production environment. The ability to lead and motivate teams, delegating task, and providing guidance. The ability to manage projects and get them done in a timely manner. The ability to be flexible and adapt to business needs. Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey information and provide instruction to the team. Basic understanding of employment laws, performance management and timekeeping. Knowledge of ERP system, visual preferred. Ability to coach and mentor other employees. Ability to Identifies areas for improvement and think strategically to enhance efficiency. Familiar with the Manufacturing process and equipment. Proficient Computer Skills to include Microsoft Office. An understanding of safety regulation and procedures. In your role, you will: Follow Safety culture and wear PPE when required. Set up machines and equipment and Performs Direct Labor as required. Encourage collaboration and foster a team environment by practicing the principles of servant leadership. Plan and coordinate production activities and establishes production priorities for products in accordance with effective operations and cost factors. Develop and maintain an effective organization through the hire selection, performance management, training, and motivation. Recommend or initiate personnel actions such as promotions, transfers, discharges, attendance, and disciplinary measures. Directly supervise employees to include payroll, overtime hours, and PTO. Develop and implement operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality. Revise production schedules and priorities to best meet customer needs. Consult with engineering personnel regarding modifications of work orders and prints. Recruit engineering assistance in problem solving regarding manufacturing design of tools and/or methods to improve production and quality of products. Assist, set up and monitor the training of new employees. Assist Quality Control with the determination of quality control issues and remain accountable for results. Maintain time and production records. Ensure equipment operation and production meets quality control standards by monitoring throughout the shift, and takes corrective action immediately as needed. Enforce safety regulations and procedures ensuring a safe work environment for all employees. Respond to building or employee incidents or accidents promptly and appropriately, and reports to management as the situation warrants. Follow 6s Procedures and maintains a clean organized work area. Working Conditions: Normal Production environments, subject to high noise levels from operating machines; physical hazards from moving equipment and sharp machine parts; breathing fumes, dust, and mist; skin exposure to oil and cutting fluid; exposure to sharp metal edges, and forklifts. May be asked to travel back and forth between Southwick and Westfield facilities Physical Requirements: Must have ability to read applicable customer documents with or without corrective lenses. May have to lift up to thirty (30) pounds at a time, as required. Must be able to push, pull, reach overhead, stand, walk, climb stairs, bend and/or sit for long periods of time.
