Production Supervisor 2nd

About the role

To lead and manage production teams in a manufacturing environment, ensuring that products are produced efficiently, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate employee activities
• Assist in all items associated with the quality system
• Drive continuous improvements to the production program
• Assist in employee problem response and resolution
• Maintain acceptable customer quality standards; maintain the quality of production; take necessary corrective action to improve
• Meet production schedules, measure KPIs, and develop & implement countermeasures to meet KPIs
• Maintain high standards for housekeeping, safety, and general maintenance
• Monitor employee attendance and assist in maintaining attendance records
• Administer provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, including coaching employees and administering discipline
• Maintain discipline within the department
• Maintain daily timekeeping and production records

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in an applicable field and a minimum of 4 years of manufacturing supervisory experience, or equivalent work experience as a production supervisor
• Working knowledge in machine set-up
• Working knowledge of lean manufacturing
• Experience leading projects
• Ability to work daily overtime and weekends as required
• Ability to work all three shifts
• Self-motivated with good organizational skills
• Effective oral and written communication and presentation skills
• Excellent attendance record
