Job Responsibilities
- Supervise a team, have authority to hire and perform management of a team.
- Lead/supervise/manage 21-25 employees.
- Plan the day-to-day allocation of resources (equipment, people, materials, and systems).
- Achieve performance targets as agreed with Production Management.
- Document daily production activities and review results against established targets.
- Review daily maintenance effectiveness and work with staff from both Operations and Maintenance to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Prioritize, request, and ensure equipment maintenance and repairs are completed.
- Ensure focused improvement tools are effectively utilized in all problem-solving situations.
- Facilitate transitions between shifts and seamless handoffs.
- Communicate key information to peers, team members, and Production Management.
- Apply corrective action consistently when required.
- Ensure compliance with all quality and food safety programs.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities and recommending changes.
Experience & Skill
- 3-5 years of experience in related field preferred.
- Experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred.
- Working knowledge of good manufacturing practices, hazard analysis and critical control points, lean manufacturing, and other food safety, quality, and manufacturing principles.
- Effective communication skills in writing and verbally with employees at all levels.
- Mentoring and coaching individuals and identifying short- and long-term development needs.
- Effective organizational skills and judgment in an environment of frequently changing circumstances.
- Excellent proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite Products.
Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
- In Business Management, Production Operations Management, Agricultural Science, Food Science, or equivalent experience acquired through work experience.
Compensation & Benefits
- The base salary for this position ranges from a low of $67,568.00 to a maximum of $101,352.00, with offers typically between the low and middle of the range, based on education, skills, experience and internal equity among other factors.
- This role is also eligible to receive additional pay if required to work more than 5 days per week as well as participate in the company discretionary quarterly bonus plan based on company performance.

Work Environment
- Manufacturing plant environment with noise, extreme temperatures, and significant movement of powered equipment, people and conveyor (may depend on the role).
- Office & plant environment.
- Frequent and/or infrequent bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, stretching/reaching, use hands or fingers, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, controls, and standing/walking on concrete flooring.
- Physical agility of lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Physical ability to stand/walk for Greater than 4 hours.
