Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise a team, have authority to hire and perform management of a team.
  • Lead/supervise/manage 21-25 employees.
  • Plan the day-to-day allocation of resources (equipment, people, materials, and systems).
  • Achieve performance targets as agreed with Production Management.
  • Document daily production activities and review results against established targets.
  • Review daily maintenance effectiveness and work with staff from both Operations and Maintenance to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Prioritize, request, and ensure equipment maintenance and repairs are completed.
  • Ensure focused improvement tools are effectively utilized in all problem-solving situations.
  • Facilitate transitions between shifts and seamless handoffs.
  • Communicate key information to peers, team members, and Production Management.
  • Apply corrective action consistently when required.
  • Ensure compliance with all quality and food safety programs.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities and recommending changes.

Experience & Skill

  • 3-5 years of experience in related field preferred.
  • Experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Working knowledge of good manufacturing practices, hazard analysis and critical control points, lean manufacturing, and other food safety, quality, and manufacturing principles.
  • Effective communication skills in writing and verbally with employees at all levels.
  • Mentoring and coaching individuals and identifying short- and long-term development needs.
  • Effective organizational skills and judgment in an environment of frequently changing circumstances.
  • Excellent proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite Products.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
  • In Business Management, Production Operations Management, Agricultural Science, Food Science, or equivalent experience acquired through work experience.

Compensation & Benefits

  • The base salary for this position ranges from a low of $67,568.00 to a maximum of $101,352.00, with offers typically between the low and middle of the range, based on education, skills, experience and internal equity among other factors.
  • This role is also eligible to receive additional pay if required to work more than 5 days per week as well as participate in the company discretionary quarterly bonus plan based on company performance.

Work Environment

  • Manufacturing plant environment with noise, extreme temperatures, and significant movement of powered equipment, people and conveyor (may depend on the role).
  • Office & plant environment.
  • Frequent and/or infrequent bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, stretching/reaching, use hands or fingers, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, controls, and standing/walking on concrete flooring.
  • Physical agility of lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Physical ability to stand/walk for Greater than 4 hours.
