About the role

This supervisory position, located in Delavan, Wisconsin, oversees and manages shift production and production support employees. The Production Supervisor ensures all operations align with established specifications, schedules, and budgets to achieve quality standards, customer service, and profitability while meeting organizational KPIs and strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise assigned staff to produce manufactured products, organize, and monitor workflow.
  • Manage day-to-day manufacturing, planning, and scheduling.
  • Accomplish production results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results against customer requirements.
  • Maintain workflow by monitoring and improving processes/systems, establishing control points and variables, studying methods, implementing cost reductions, maintaining quality at the machine, and ensuring equipment operation through maintenance.
  • Serve as the CPC expert on shift production matters (e.g., production, quality, process/system enhancement, equipment, scheduling, employee development, KPIs).
  • Provide production information by compiling and analyzing data.
  • Communicate with team members and support staff across shifts to ensure continuous production of quality parts with minimal waste.
  • Maintain direct authority over assigned areas, including decision-making, staffing, talent management, and general direction, with consultation from leadership and HR.
  • Provide training to staff for day-to-day tasks, onboarding, and competency.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable safety and OSHA requirements.

Requirements

  • Education, training, and experience equivalent to an Associate’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on professional experience and supervision in a multi-function industrial setting.
  • Basic working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and exposure to a manufacturing ERP system.
  • Ability to build positive team relationships and achieve outcome-oriented objectives.
  • Working knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (LEAN Enterprise) with a holistic viewpoint.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, set priorities, and meet deadlines while maintaining awareness of business dependencies.
  • Solid working knowledge of applicable safety and OSHA requirements.
