Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Supervise daily production activities and deploy personnel effectively to meet production, quality, and efficiency targets.
- Prioritize production schedules, monitor productivity, and ensure production goals are achieved.
- Schedule, assign, and manage employee attendance while coordinating staffing coverage and operator allocation.
- Support cross-training initiatives and optimize machine and operator scheduling.
- Train, mentor, and develop production employees while supporting career development and training requirements.
- Conduct performance evaluations, coaching sessions, and corrective action processes as needed.
- Interpret specifications, blueprints, and work orders, ensuring operators understand production requirements.
- Manage production processes according to Bills of Materials (BOMs) and facilitate necessary changes.
- Oversee cleanroom pack-out and pack-in operations.
- Maintain accurate production documentation and shift reports.
- Collaborate with quality teams to investigate non-conforming products, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Resolve operational and personnel issues while promoting teamwork and employee engagement.
- Cookordination effectively with Human Resources regarding employee-related matters.
- Communicate effectively across departments to ensure operational alignment.
- Authorize production cells for operation and ensure readiness for production.
- Maintain high quality standards within molding and automation operations.
- Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety regulations, ensuring safety remains the top priority.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of manufacturing experience (preferably plastic injection molding or other contract manufacturing), including supervisory or leadership responsibilities.
- Associate degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong understanding of production processes, scheduling, quality systems, and workplace safety.
- Experience managing employee performance, training, and development.
- Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work a 12-hour day or night shift on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule after completing training.
