Production Superintendent LPCT

About the Role

Responsible for the planning, management, and coordination of front or back end manufacturing operations. This includes developing monthly and weekly production schedules, ensuring the safe manufacture of a quality product with minimal scrap or rework while meeting customer specifications. Establishes and maintains budgets for supervised areas and handles manpower planning.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to process control procedures, operating instructions, and quality control instructions.
• Safely manufacture a quality product with minimal scrap or rework while meeting customer specifications.
• Maintain a safe work environment, enforce legal requirements, and uphold company safety policies.
• Establish and execute annual operating budgets; take corrective action for budget deviations.
• Formulate long and short-range strategies for equipment planning and personnel utilization.
• Control production costs, work-in-process levels, and monitor production through subordinate managers.
• Direct hiring, training, career progression planning, performance appraisals, salary changes, promotions, and disciplinary actions for subordinates.
• Coordinate and attend regular production meetings.
• Recommend and purchase new equipment for expansion, efficiency, cost reduction, or quality improvement.
• Maintain and enhance a team environment with a motivated and effective workforce.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Business, or equivalent years of on-the-job experience in a technical field.
• Several years of progressive experience in manufacturing management.
• Solid understanding of business and ability to motivate subordinates.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to work with senior management as part of a business team.
• Excellent communication skills across all levels of management and with customers.
• Results-oriented with the ability to organize and coordinate diverse activities.
