About the Role
The Production Superintendent provides leadership, technical expertise, and operational oversight to ensure the safe, efficient, and consistent production of high-quality products. This position drives employee engagement, continuous improvement, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional collaboration while developing a culture of accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Provide strong technical, operational, and project management leadership to ensure the consistent and efficient manufacturing of products.
- Drive employee engagement, training, and development initiatives to promote a safe work environment and maximize department performance.
- Lead efforts to assess, enhance, and optimize departmental capabilities while improving productivity and operational efficiencies.
- Ensure all incoming products meet or exceed established quality standards required for internal processing.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, including but not limited to EPA, OSHA, USDA, and FSIS regulations.
- Ensure all quality standards, specifications, policies, and procedures are consistently met or exceeded.
- Foster a culture of open communication, transparency, accountability, and employee involvement.
- Promote teamwork and cross-functional collaboration across all departments and team members.
- Partner with Quality Assurance and Sales teams during new product development to ensure production capability assessments and feasibility studies are completed before implementation and launch decisions are made.
- Coach, develop, and provide performance feedback to direct reports to ensure individual and team expectations are achieved.
Requirements
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Commitment to leading by example and adhering to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- SAP experience preferred but not required.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
