Production Specialist - Cannabis Commercial Kitchen

About the role
The Production Specialist ensures all products are manufactured in accordance with standard operating procedures, meeting the company's quality standards while maintaining efficiency, accuracy, and compliance. This role involves timely communication with production team members in a commercial kitchen environment.
Responsibilities
- Make cannabis edible confections and topical products, including managing candy cooks, depositing product into molds, popping product out of molds, tempering chocolate, mixing, and baking cookies and other products.
- Support packaging and inventory management efforts, such as stickering, boxing, and counting.
- Partner with a team of cannabis confection professionals to complete the production plan by following scheduling, assignments, and established priorities.
- Follow all written work instructions, including product recipes, formulas, Standard Operating Procedures, checklists, and other instructions.
- Assist in maintaining inventory of raw ingredients, work in process, and finished product.
- Clean the production space at the end of each day.
Requirements
- Experience in fast-paced food manufacturing settings.
- Ability to consistently perform repetitive tasks.
- Solid problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage a large volume of detail-oriented tasks effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to give and receive constructive feedback efficiently and meaningfully.
- Basic knowledge of food science.
- Understanding of inventory management systems.
- 1-2 years minimum experience working in a commercial kitchen environment or in food manufacturing using equipment such as kettles, depositors, and scales.
- Cannabis industry or traditional confectionary experience.
- Familiarity with cannabis tracking systems and various operational technology platforms.
- Must be 21 or older and hold or obtain a valid OLCC Marijuana Handler's permit.
- Must have an up-to-date Food Handlers Card.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, and kneel daily in production environments with concrete or hard-surface floors and staircases.
- Ability to push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds multiple times daily.
- Ability to maintain focus and memory in environments with distractions such as heavy foot traffic, background noise, and public gatherings.
- Ability to work in occasionally hot or cold environments.

Schedule
Full-time, on-site, Monday through Friday.
