Production Specialist

About the role

This position supports production activities at a manufacturing plant, driving operational efficiency and stable operations. Through production planning, materials planning, inventory management, demand forecasting, and supplier coordination, you will contribute to building a system that ensures stable product supply in line with quality, delivery, and budget requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage production capacity planning and materials planning
• Build appropriate supply systems for parts and materials required for production
• Drive business improvement and introduce best practices related to inventory forecasting, materials management, and production scheduling
• Drive achievement of KPIs including inventory turnover, days inventory outstanding, and on-time delivery rate
• Manage supplier relations and supply quality control in collaboration with the purchasing department
• Manage material demand and supply flow in production
• Conduct demand forecasting and inventory optimization through data collection, analysis, and verification
• Identify bottlenecks in production processes and implement improvement measures
• Strengthen collaboration with internal departments and deliver high-quality results
• Promote operations in compliance with safety and health policies and related regulations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Business-level Japanese and English
• 3–5 years of experience in production planning, materials planning, supply chain, manufacturing operations, or related fields in the manufacturing industry
• Knowledge and experience in demand forecasting and data analysis
• Commitment to quality evaluation and continuous improvement

USD 60,000–80,000
