Production Specialist

About the role

Plans and designs manufacturing processes in an industrial plant. Improves production methods and determines manufacturing capacity. Fabricates, modifies and evaluates manufacturing processes such as assembly and material handling. May assist with time and cost estimates. Collaborates with other engineering groups to review drawings and designs during the product development process. Develops and implements process improvements to meet quality standards and solves manufacturing problems. Creates necessary documentation and aides in communication to personnel. Studies and makes recommendations for manufacturing facility layout regarding items such as sequence of operations, equipment layout and utilization and other related items. Researches new manufacturing methods, equipment and other manufacturing technologies and makes recommendations for implementation.
