Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand, sit and/or walk (90% of the day)
• Able to reach, bend, and move inside the facility to move product.
• Fine motor skills: required using the wrists, hands, and fingers.
• Visual: Required to have close visual acuity, color vision and depth perception.
• Effective communication: Able to hear and effectively communicate with peers.
• Able to lift/move/pull 10-50 lbs. occasionally throughout day.
• Moderate noise due to sewing machine operation in a warehouse setting.
• Extreme temperatures: some assignments are in a building with limited climate control.

Grade 1 Seasonal Production Support

• Prepares materials, organizes workstations, and assists with quality control.
• Increases earning potential by gaining skills from Step 1 to Step 3 and/or advancing to Grade 2 Machine Operator.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Follows all safety protocols.
• Performs routine housekeeping tasks and safety checks.
• Interprets work orders, paying close attention to all details to ensure product is completed correctly with the highest standard of accuracy and quality and reflects artwork.
• Uses proper tools/supplies for each task to ensure safe working conditions and good quality product.
• Reports items that need to be replaced.
• Contributes to quality control by inspecting materials and finished products.
• Interpret SOPs and only pass good product. Understand what product can be reworked/corrected and what must be scrapped.
• Documents and communicates quality control issues in system.
• Identifies appropriate cut pattern and/or hangtag for product (JUNK).
• Identifies correct patch and correct hat sku (OC).
• Organizes work orders into appropriate containers by thread color for proper workflow (JUNK).
• Prepares and organizes production confirming that all order requirements are met.
• Inspects and prepares all finished product for shipping (QC, Trim, Package).
• Able to demonstrate competencies for various machinery / techniques for next level.
• Prepares materials and fabrics for the sewing process (JUNK).
• Assists sewers and machine operators with their tasks.
• Understand/communicate PASS v FAIL cap (loose threads, crooked art, and bad caps).
• Able to Read PO to match art, cap style, special instructions, packing instructions.
• Adheres to safety protocols for assigned equipment and all production areas (ex. Turning off heat guns at break).
