Position Summary
Provide production with accurate production schedule to achieve the master schedule. Control shop floor scheduling and communication of the production schedule, sub-contract management, control of stock, WIP and raw materials.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee flow of product through the plant at each operation through daily visual inspection, review of SAP systems and through continuous consultation with the Master Scheduler and plant personnel.
- Issues daily updated production schedule to the necessary plant personnel.
- Uses existing tools such as GTT Fast Pro.
- Releases and prints production job packets from SAP
- Monitor and close orders in SAP
- Create special orders such as rework orders, scrap replacement and tooling as required.
- Ensure all operations have correct production times.
- Update SAP and job packets. Incorporate to the shop floor when changes are made through ECN.
- Monitor and control WIP
- Issue forging and components to production orders
- Maintain hourly vacation log
- Post delivery notes
- Advise Production Manager when overtime is needed to support production schedule
- Provide reports and attend various meetings as required.
- Perform physical inventory checks of raw material and finished WIP when required
- Ensure that Quality receives all production information required for certification
- Ensure processing is stopped when a quality stop instruction is issued from Production or Quality Manager
Skills, Abilities & Education Requirements
- Mathematical - Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions and decimals
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Reading comprehension
- Knowledge of electronic equipment and computer hardware and software including applications required for job, e.g. Excel, SAP
- Three years of related education and/or experience in production scheduling in a manufacturing environment.
- High school diploma or GED

$60,000 - $70,000
