Essential Functions
- Develops and maintains the master production schedule, aligning daily and weekly production plans with sales orders, forecast, and inventory targets.
- Captures with Operations, Procurement, and Sales to ensure production priorities reflect capacity, material availability, and customer needs.
- Reviews capacity constraints and proactively recommends adjustments to meet delivery and efficiency goals.
- Maintains production progress daily, identifies bottlenecks, and adjusts schedules as needed to maintain on-time performance.
- Analyzes production data and reports key performance indicators (KPIs) related to schedule adherence, changeovers, and utilization.
- Communicates scheduling updates and changes to plant management, warehouse, and supply chain teams.
- Supports the operations team in planning and sequencing production runs to minimize downtime and improve throughput.
- Collaborates with Procurement and Warehouse teams to ensure raw material availability aligns with scheduled production.
- Coordinates with Customer Service and Sales to confirm lead times and manage expectations for order fulfillment.
- Leads weekly production planning meetings to align plant scheduling priorities with overall business objectives.
- Assists in maintaining system data accuracy related to bills of materials, routings, and production orders.
- Participates in continuous improvement projects related to scheduling processes, systems, and data integrity.
- Provides analytical and reporting support to measure scheduling effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities.
Required Skills, Education, And Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3+ years’ experience in production scheduling, planning, or related supply chain function.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/MRP systems.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional communication between Production, Sales, and Procurement.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with master production scheduling (MPS) or advanced planning systems.
- Knowledge of manufacturing process flow, capacity planning, and material requirements planning (MRP).
- Familiarity with barcode scanning systems and production reporting tools.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and time management skills.
- Ability to be respectful, approachable, and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
