Job Summary
The Production Scheduler supports daily production scheduling, shipment planning, inventory accuracy, and plant execution by using SharePoint, ProcessPro, shipment schedules, production planning reports, and inventory data.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Updates the daily shipment schedule using SharePoint, ProcessPro, open sales orders, quantity-on-hand reports, and Zip-Notes; prioritizes shipments by due date, and in-full capability; communicates the schedule to the Shipment Supervisor/Team and LV Ship Team after the start-of-shift meeting.
- Updates the daily production schedule for DP and Evans using production scheduling reports, gallons-needed data, production planning and procurement program outputs, and quantity-on-hand reports; schedules work based on priority, MTO/MTS requirements, inventory availability, and customer needs.
- Maintains a minimum two-day production planning view for key operating areas, and provides hard-copy production schedules to the Production Supervisor before the start of the shift.
- Creates all required batch tickets in ProcessPro for process manufacturing and prints the batch tickets and raw material pick lists needed for the day before the start of the shift.
- Creates Evans finished good product labels with lot numbers using the Evans label spreadsheet and lot number procedure; provides printed labels to Production before the start of the shift.
- Identifies missing production items, purchase items, raw materials, packaging, and other constraints required to fulfill sales orders; issues material purchase requests to the Procurement Coordinator as needed.
- Covers material transfer requests, including tubes and other intercompany needs, with appropriate site leaders and Meridian plants.
- Schedules and follows up on rework or disposal activity for Evans rework inventory, DP on-hold inventory, returns, and slow-moving inventory; prepares rework batch tickets and disposal requests as required.
- Posts completed batch tickets in ProcessPro to record raw material consumption and finished good packaging activity; verifies quantity-on-hand updates for raw materials, finished goods, and packaging inventory before the end-of-day target.
- Maintains accurate schedule, inventory, batch ticket, label, and transaction records in ProcessPro, SharePoint, spreadsheets, and hard-copy production files.
- Maintains production and shipment performance using the shipment visual management board, production batch tickets, meetings, calls, and daily follow-up; recommends schedule changes or corrective actions to meet customer and plant targets.
- Follows up on urgent needs from Sales Representatives and the Shipment Supervisor/Team; guides action, removes roadblocks, and keeps requesters updated on progress.
- Prepares and distributes reports, schedule updates, inventory information, and performance summaries by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Supports inventory accuracy through physical inventory preparation, routine cycle counts, discrepancy follow-up, and coordination with the Plant Manager, Production, Quality, Procurement, and Shipping teams.
- Supports monthly safety toolbox training and reinforces safe work practices, communication, and compliance during daily planning and execution activities.
- Supports other production, shipment, procurement, quality, inventory, and administrative activities as assigned.

Qualifications & Educational Requirements
- 3+ years of related experience required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, operations, engineering or related field is preferred.
- Experience in manufacturing and plant environments is required, experience with batch-manufacturing is preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
