Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Manufacturing Production Scheduler to manage and optimize our production schedules. This role is crucial for ensuring that our manufacturing processes run smoothly, efficiently, and on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain production schedules based on sales orders, production capacity, and inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with production teams, purchasing, and sales departments to ensure alignment between customer orders and manufacturing timelines.
  • Monitor production progress to ensure on-time delivery of products while adhering to quality standards.
  • Identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies in production processes and work to resolve them proactively.
  • Analyze capacity and resource requirements to maximize production output and minimize downtime.
  • Track and manage materials and inventory, ensuring availability for production without excess stock.
  • Communicate with key stakeholders to provide regular updates on production status, delays, and changes.
  • Review and adjust schedules as needed based on changing priorities, urgent orders, or production delays.
  • Ensure that all documentation related to production schedules, inventory, and job tracking is accurately recorded and maintained.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in manufacturing production scheduling, preferably in the door manufacturing or building products industry.
  • Strong knowledge of scheduling software and ERP systems (experience with Oracle Netsuite preferred).
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent computer literacy.
  • Able to work well under pressure and adapt to changing production demands.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in Operations Management, or a related field is a plus.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices is a plus.
