Production Scheduler
About the role
The Production Scheduler will develop and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS) for production and processing services ensuring alignment with program milestones and on-time deliveries. They will also communicate project progress, status, and potential issues to stakeholders and leadership.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS) for production and processing services ensuring alignment with program milestones and on-time deliveries.
- Communicate project progress, status, and potential issues to stakeholders and leadership.
- Serve as the planning focal for program hardware builds, from procurement through delivery.
- Develop, maintain, and adjust daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.
- Cook up capacity planning, make/buy decisions, and scenario modeling to inform critical path strategies.
- Collaborate with leadership to optimize build sequencing and resource allocation.
- Track production KPIs, generate dashboards, and deliver planning insights.
- Analyze production data to optimize lead times, reduce waste, and improve efficiency.
- Mentor junior team members and support their professional development.
- Perform additional job duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate or bachelor's degree in manufacturing, supply chain, industrial engineering, or related field, plus five (5) years of experience in a field or in a related area.
- Experience in manufacturing, assembly and testing of critical hardware.
- Ten (10) years of production planning or project management experience using Microsoft Project, preferably in the aerospace field.
- Strong knowledge of scheduling tools (MS Project, Primavera).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed scheduling decisions.
- Able to demonstrate strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated organization skills to meet tight deadlines with high quality results.

Essential Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation.
- Applicant selected may be subject to government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
- Work may involve sitting for extended periods.
- May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lb.
- Must have sufficient mobility to enter areas of test facilities where necessary.
- Generally, an office environment but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.
- Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, fax, etc.)
- Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical.
- Able to work in a team atmosphere.
- Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation.
- Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.
