Production Scheduler
Responsibilities
- Input, update, and maintain all daily shop work orders in the production schedule.
- Manage production decisions regarding which work orders are completed daily to meet productivity standards.
- Manage and update the production calendar for Inside Sales.
- Answer all Inside Sales and Shop production scheduling questions.
- Manage all production scheduling date changes on work orders.
- Review complex commercial machining work orders with the Production Supervisor to ensure information, templates, and product specifications are complete and accurate.
- Schedule and route third-party logistics for all prefinished products returning to the shop for post-pre-finish machining, crating, and related work.
- Issue fire labels and manage all fire label logs.
- Organize and prepare all production paperwork for Door Pullers, Glazing, and Millwork.
- Create and print CNC machine programs and attach them to Manufacturing Work Orders.
- Perform other production scheduling-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to manage multiple schedules, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines effectively.
- Ability to communicate effectively with various departments and teams.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify problems, and develop solutions.
- Familiarity with production processes, scheduling software, and inventory management systems.
- Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and unexpected situations.
- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in schedules and data management.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principles, including how to optimize processes and reduce waste.
- Experience using Microsoft Office.
- Must have Microsoft Excel experience.
- Company VAI system experience is a plus.

- Full-time
- Monday through Friday, 7:00 am- 3:30 pm
Qualifications
Must be able to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time, with the option to stand or sit while stationary.
Occasionally move about inside both an office and a warehouse setting.
Constantly operate a computer and other office machines, such as a calculator, copy machine, and printer.
Ability to communicate information and ideas clearly in written and verbal form so others will understand.
Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
Skills
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principles, including how to optimize processes and reduce waste.
