Production Sanitation Utility - 2nd Shift Kiel

About the Role

At Sargento you will work in a refrigerated food‑production facility that can be cold, loud, and occasionally wet or humid during sanitation. The environment includes machinery, moving mechanical parts, and robotics. Responsibilities

• Ensure the production line has all necessary component materials and equipment to meet orders in a timely manner.
• Follow scanning procedures and accurately identify materials and equipment requirements.
• Operate production equipment and apply planning skills to support workflow.
• Read and understand production orders to verify information is correct.
• Communicate effectively and accurately with team members.
• Maintain food safety and quality standards throughout the production process.
• Assist with the setup and placement of production equipment.
• Work alongside state‑of‑the‑art automated equipment.
• Use cleaning chemicals to sanitize and clean equipment and production areas as needed.

Schedule

2nd Shift – 2 pm to 10 pm, Monday‑Friday, with Saturday work as needed based on business demands (Kiel location).

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED/HSED required (or currently enrolled with anticipated completion within 12 months).
• Prior manufacturing experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Willingness to complete forklift certification upon hire.
• Ability to learn and perform lock‑out/tag‑out procedures as required.
• Capability to lift up to 50 lb.
• Ability to perform data entry for inventory systems and labeling software.
