Production Resource Entry Level Nights (4pm to 4am)
About the role
Entry‑Level Production Resources Technician position at the Tomah Production Plant. Work indoors in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment making Sweetened Dried Cranberries (Craisins) with a team that values growth and stability. This is a full‑time, year‑round night shift role on a 12‑hour 2‑2‑3 schedule (4:00 p.m.–4:00 a.m.), with Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off every other week. Training is provided, with opportunities to move into higher‑paying roles and potentially transition to day shift as openings come up.
Responsibilities
Production Resource team members may be scheduled to work in any location in the plant based on qualifications, and responsibilities change daily as staffing needs vary. Responsibilities may include:
- General housekeeping
- Support to Line Operators
- Assisting in the BDR
- Working in the Lab testing product
- Batching
- Unloading sugar trucks
- Helping the bulk line
- Working in the refinement area
- Stacking product
- Assisting in rework/repack operations
This position requires flexibility and the ability to embrace schedule changes as manufacturing needs change often.
Requirements
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
- Ability to perform these operations using units, weight measurement, volume, and distance
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Ability to adhere to all Plant Safety, GMPs, and Operating guidelines and rules
- Ability to perform responsibilities for a 12‑hour shift and assist on other shifts as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency preferred
- Forklift experience preferred
Pay
- $22.50/hour plus $1.25/hour night shift differential
- Quarterly Pay for Performance bonus (average 3 to 5% of earnings)
Schedule
- Full‑time, year‑round night shift
- 12‑hour 2‑2‑3 schedule, 4:00 p.m.–4:00 a.m.
- Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off every other week
