Job Summary
The Production Quality Specialist will be working closely with the Production Manager to enter daily production information and verifying the product is of good quality prior to being released for shipment. This person will make sure that inventory is correct after each production run. The Quality Specialist will also be working with the Logistics Manager to monitor raw material movements both in and out of the facility.
Required Qualifications/Experience
- Minimum of 2 years in a manufacturing environment
- High School Diploma or higher
- Must have experience with inventory counting
- Microsoft Office experience required (Word/Outlook/Excel/PowerPoint)
- Experience with SAP a plus
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with close attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Key Responsibilities
- Create process orders
- Verify production entries match reported production
- Perform quality inspections of finished product and report issues to production manager/supervisors
- Enter daily production in SAP
- Work with production on end of run counts
- Perform inventory corrections in SAP
- Perform physical inventory and cycle counts including reconciling inventory (raw materials and packaging supplies)
- Perform regular checks on finished product for count accuracy.
- Acts as a backup to the Logistics Supervisor
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager
- Support other operations of the plant such as lab, Logistics, Safety, etc. as needed
