About the Role
This is more than just a Production Manager role—it’s a chance to provide employees and the customers they serve with a remarkable experience. You’ll lead a team of construction foremen and installers, perform job site inspections, communicate with customers, and monitor project progress to ensure quality, safety, and exceptional service.
Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and develop a team of construction foremen and installers.
- Perform regular job site inspections to coach on quality and safety.
- Communicate with customers to ensure a remarkable experience.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Cascade the company’s vision and provide clear direction to the team.
- Remove barriers to ensure the company’s vision is achievable.
- Interview, select, onboard, and train employees.
- Set expectations and hold employees accountable for performance.
- Manage performance reviews and partner with HR on performance decisions.
- Create opportunities for employee growth and development.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop and adjust the production department’s annual goals.
- Ensure the production team meets goals for project completion, safe practices, planned installed volume, installation quality, direct labor percentage, collected revenue, and customer experience.
- Maintain company vehicles, trailers, equipment, tools, and other assets in good working order.
- Ensure the company has the proper resources to complete installations.
- Live out the company’s purpose, mission, and values.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of management and team development experience, or a combination of education and experience demonstrating a proven track record.
- Knowledge of construction or related trades is a plus but not required.
- Proficiency in operating computers, cell phones, and related programs/applications.
- Ability to detect/recognize information in written materials and on screen roughly 50% of the time.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong computer and presentation skills.
- Ability to operate equipment and/or power tools preferred.
- Ability to lift or move up to 100 lbs. on occasion.
- Ability to work in crawl spaces or at floor level.
- A valid driver’s license, safe driving record, and ability to drive for the company.
- Proven ability to motivate, guide, and direct a team to exceed business goals.
