Role Summary
As a Production Process Control Engineer at Johnson Matthey, you will contribute to the company's mission of being a world leader in sustainable technology, focusing on energy transformation and carbon reduction. Your responsibilities include setting up, monitoring, and troubleshooting equipment, optimizing process parameters, and ensuring product quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Comply with local environmental and health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Optimize process parameters to improve cycle times, minimize rejects, avoid waste, and reduce downtime.
- Interact with Maintenance, Washcoat, Quality, Process Engineering, and Automation teams to solve process and equipment problems.
- Support the implementation of new technologies through new procedures and training of personnel.
- Identify and implement best practices to drive continuous improvement in performance, standards, and processes.
- Ensure products meet customer specifications.
- Collect and report data related to specific operating results or activities.
- Participate in and lead Lean Manufacturing teams such as Kaizen or 5S.
- Utilize coating solutions efficiently to minimize waste.
- Maintain documentation as per the Quality Management System.
- Provide regular reports on specific operating results or activities as requested by supervisors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical or mechanical engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
- Familiarity with statistical methods for data analysis.
- Strong mechanical, analytical, and technical skills.
- 2+ years of production and/or catalyst manufacturing experience.
- 1+ years of batch process experience preferred.
