Production Planning Specialist

Description

The Production Planning Specialist at Smurfit Westrock (NYSE:SW) in Marion, NC is responsible for producing a daily manufacturing schedule that meets customer needs and optimizes manufacturing efficiencies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• 3-years work-related experience in a manufacturing environment and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent organizational skills to include follow-up and accountability.
• Professional customer satisfaction skills needed to maintain positive external and internal relationships.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills to include effective listening.
• Must be able to understand and/or explain technical procedures.
• Proficiency in computer applications to include Microsoft Work and Excel.
• Able to easily adapt to fluctuations in business cycles and workload.
• Attention to detail is critical to maintain accuracy and fulfill customer expectations.
• Some travel will be required.
• Able to work independently and within a team environment.
• Able to sit for long periods of time.
• Must be able to see/read a computer and work via telephone.
• Able to climb stairs, step ladders, lift and move boxes.
