About the role

The Production Planner/Scheduler integrates materials planning with new product introduction activities to ensure successful, on-time product launches. This role manages early-life supply risks, ensures material readiness, prevents stock-outs, and supports rapid production ramp-up from pilot builds through full-scale manufacturing within a regulated medical device packaging environment.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain master data for new products (part numbers, BOMs, routings, planning parameters)
  • Coordinate material planning activities including sourcing, purchase orders, and initial inventory builds
  • Support pilot runs, first articles, and validation builds through work order creation and material readiness
  • Track project milestones, supply risks, and launch readiness
  • Process product change notices and revisions during development
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Development, Quality, Manufacturing, Sales, and Engineering
  • Communicate launch constraints and readiness to stakeholders and leadership
  • Transition new products into standard production planning processes
  • Maintain compliance with documentation, traceability, and change control requirements
  • Provide backup support for Production Planning as needed

Requirements

  • High school diploma or Equivalent
  • Preferred Experience In Materials Planning, Production scheduling, inventory control, supply chain, or manufacturing operations
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment is a plus
  • Proficient with computers, including spreadsheets and word processing
  • Preferred advanced skills in MS Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis
  • Excellent communication skills with internal departments
  • Adaptability in fast paced or changing demand environments
  • Preferred Experience With ERP/MRP Systems
  • Familiarity With Bill Of materials, capacity planning, inventory management
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work cross-functionally

Pay and Schedule

Starting pay: $25.00/hour, Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
