About the role
The role is located at RTX, a leading aerospace and defense company. It is an Onsite position requiring U.S. citizenship.
Responsibilities
- Development and ownership of the inventory plan (Raw, WIP, and Finished Goods) aligned with AOP/SFP objectives
- Ensure on-time delivery (OTD) of materials to production lines (on time starts) and customers by managing planning, staging, and fulfillment processes
- Quarterly analysis of Excess & Obsolete (E&O), PFEP, EMP, and Entitlement, including the development and execution of resulting action items
- Coordinate with the manufacturing team to manage changes in production priorities or order modifications
- Champion continuous improvement for material planning, receiving, storage, staging, and WIP control
- Auditing workload requirements to ensure adequate staffing is in place to support business operations and facilitate training and development of employees
- Manage the material strategy to support the New Product Introduction to End of Life
- Oversee the end-to-end materials process for the site, including planning, detailed scheduling, logistics, and delivery commitment, and lead strategic inventory initiatives
- Accountable for inventory control (e.g., cycle counting) ensuring stock is maintained at an appropriate level and meet site NITO targets
- Play a key role in the manufacturing automation strategy, material release strategy, handling methods, kitting strategy and material movement methods for all parts from storage location through to final delivery
- Coordinate with Production Planners to manage production schedules and coordinate with PMT members
- Communicate any changes or production impacts that affect the aligned production plan
- Track and report execution metrics such as Schedule adherence and On time to release Production Orders and address root cause corrective action as applicable
- Summarize and present material availability data for the S&OE horizon to site leadership
- Mentor, guide, and train all Production Planners, while setting performance goals aligned with organizational objectives
Qualifications
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
- SAP Experience
- Leadership experience
- Capacity Planning experience
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
