About the Role

The Production Planner II manages production schedules for designated product lines, balancing customer requirements with production efficiency. This role requires independent decision-making, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to proactively resolve planning challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize detailed production schedules to meet demand forecasts.
  • Analyze capacity constraints and adjust schedules to maximize efficiency.
  • Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, and logistics to minimize material shortages and delays.
  • Identify risks in the production plan and propose solutions.
  • Participate in daily tier meetings with production to ensure production delays are minimized.
  • Monitor KPIs such as schedule adherence, inventory levels, and on-time delivery, and develop solutions to ensure KPIs are met.
  • Participate in process improvement projects related to planning and scheduling.
  • Coordinate with senior planners on NPI work to ensure OEM production is minimally impacted.
  • Provide mentorship and training to Planner I team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, operations, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in production planning or supply chain management.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and data analysis.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
