About the Role

Plans and prepares manufacturing production schedules and departmental workflows to establish sequence and lead time of each production operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders. Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions, including estimating. Analyzes plant capacity and production requisition data to determine manufacturing processes and required resources; prepares production reports.

Responsibilities

  • Performs tasks and duties associated with product manufacture planning, including producing schedules, materials lists, and production plans.
  • Helps analyze production specifications to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and personnel requirements.
  • Ensures material flow and production activity are aligned.
  • Prepares work orders.
  • Recommends schedule changes resulting from material or labor shortages, design changes, or backlogs when necessary.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree and 0-3 years' experience OR equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
  • Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
  • Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
  • This position is safety-sensitive.
  • No or very little travel likely.
