About the role

Plans sequence of fabrication, assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operations relating to specific portion of the product for guidance of production workers. Plans detail operations from blueprints, engineering orders, change notices, and other engineering releases. Determines the need for tooling and makes recommendations for the design and planning of required tools. Prepares shop work orders for materials and product processing and coordinates with schedulers to ensure that items are being processed according to specifications and time requirements. Maintains progress reports, schedules, and other related records.

Responsibilities

  • Plan manufacturing sequences for fabrication, assembly, installation, and other operations.
  • Detail operations from blueprints, engineering orders, change notices, and other engineering releases.
  • Determine tooling needs and recommend design and planning for required tools.
  • Prepare shop work orders for materials and product processing.
  • Coordinate with schedulers to ensure items are processed according to specifications and time requirements.
  • Maintain progress reports, schedules, and related records.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of combined experience in:
    • Manufacturing Production Planning
    • Engineering
    • Aviation / aerospace production, maintenance, and/or modification
  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documents.
  • Experience writing manufacturing work instructions or technical documents.

Desired Skills

  • C-130, F-35, F-16, and/or Machine Shop experience preferred.
  • Engineering degree / experience preferred.
  • Experience interfacing with customer.
  • Experience performing cross-functional work.
  • Experience working in dynamic, fast-paced environments with competing priorities.
  • Experience with manufacturing bills of materials (MBOM) or configuration management.
  • Greenbelt certified or familiar with continuous improvement frameworks (A3, 6S, Lean).
  • Experience with the following software: Solumina, MTO, CAPP, SFM, SAP, Apriso, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).

Pay

Full-Time Salary Range: $37,700.00 – $69,900.00

Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.

For Washington state applicants only:

  • Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays.
  • Represented full-time employees: accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.

PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
