What’s a Typical Day as Senior Project Manager?

  • Facilitating collaboration between customers, sales, engineering, purchasing, production, and field technical resources
  • Planning and coordinating all aspects of projects, including scope, scheduling, and budget management
  • Reviewing and coordinating detailed engineering tasks such as quoting, design, and change management
  • Leading Kick-Off, Design Review, Status Update, and Wrap Up meetings with team members (in-house and remote)
  • Monitoring daily, weekly, and monthly order status for managed accounts and completing quarterly reviews
  • Communicating professionally and effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Conducting post-project evaluations to identify areas for improvement
  • Managing product documentation, archiving, and approvals
  • Identifying and mitigating risks in the production process
  • Collaborating with quality control to integrate quality checks and support RMA processing
  • Cooking customer audits on-site and at remote locations
  • Implementing corrective actions as needed and managing customer relationships
  • Utilizing project management tools and Kanban methodology for workflow optimization
  • Scheduling and coordinating material ordering with procurement and shipping
  • Providing forecasts to supply chain for long lead time items and items with high fallout percentages
  • Tracking project progress using Kanban metrics

Qualifications

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in an analytical or technical field (required)
  • Have 5+ years of project management experience in a manufacturing environment (required)
  • Demonstrate strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Adept at multi-tasking and managing complex projects simultaneously
  • Possess experience with Kanban methodology and project management tools
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and manage customer relations
