About the role
The Production Planner is responsible for coordinating production schedules, ensuring timely delivery of products, and managing inventory levels.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer orders and company goals.
- Monitor inventory levels and adjust production plans accordingly to meet demand.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely receipt of materials and components.
- Communicate with cross-functional teams including sales, engineering, and logistics to align production plans.
- Manage production issues and coordinate with team members to resolve problems efficiently.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in production planning or supply chain management.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in using production planning software such as SAP or Oracle Planning Cloud.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience with Just-In-Time (JIT) inventory systems.
