PRODUCTION - PC - PACKER | 2ND SHIFT

About the role

The Packer position packs finished product into shipping cases, passes them through a tape machine for conveying into the Warehouse, and supports the OurRecipe@SauerBrands mission by ensuring quality and efficiency in production.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all necessary materials (clipboard, production downtime sheet, schedule, paper towels, rubber gloves, writing implement) are accounted for.
• Assist the Filler Operator in monitoring film rolls on both front and rear of the machine; notify operator when film is low.
• Identify and verify the correct box for each product.
• Monitor the tape machine and printer during the shift to ensure proper function; notify the Filler Operator immediately if issues arise.
• Maintain cleanliness of the belt; wipe it down if the machine is down.
• Notify the Filler Operator of any quality defects, including oily, greasy, or leaking product, misaligned film or lidding, and defective or incorrect boxes, trays, or pads.
• Correct or rework any out-of-spec (but correctable) product or packages as instructed by the operator or supervisor.
• Ensure all paperwork is legible and all downtime is accurately recorded on the downtime sheet.
• Maintain an orderly and clean work area.

Requirements

• Machine operating experience preferred.
• Detail-oriented with strong attention to quality.
• Able to walk and stand for most of a 10-hour shift.
• Self-motivated, quality-driven, and willing to learn.
• Dependable and punctual.
• Able to lift 30 lbs.
• High School Diploma required.
