About the role
The Material Handler performs routine Material Operations activities across the facility, including receiving, sampling, warehousing, material cleaning, kitting, and delivery.
Schedule
100% onsite in Devens, MA. Rotating shift: 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, 3 days one week and 4 days the following week (includes Saturday and Sunday).
Top Skills
- GMP experience (required)
- Willingness to wear protective clothing (scrubs, gloves, socks, safety shoes)
- SAP knowledge, specifically Extended Warehouse Management (EWM)
- Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures and work independently
Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe work environment.
- Deliver the right material, to the right location, at the right time while adhering to good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures; recognize deviations from accepted practice.
- Perform routine Material Operations activities: receiving, sampling, warehousing, material cleaning, kitting, and delivery.
- Coordinate, pack, and ship materials to domestic and international markets, including hazardous materials.
- Work on routine assignments per written procedures with little to no instruction; work on new assignments with general instructions.
- Complete GMP forms and/or batch records.
- Perform SAP transactions of inventoried materials and their movements to ensure compliance and inventory accuracy.
- Author procedures.
- Interact effectively with Materials Operations Staff, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, and external contractors (e.g., transportation drivers).
- Collaborate with cross-functional employees and department managers to solve work-related problems and perform run-the-business activities.
- Support process investigations and CAPAs.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred).
- Operate in a GMP warehouse environment and gown into GMP clean room areas.
- Don Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by procedures and signage; may come in contact with hazardous materials requiring additional PPE, including respiratory protection (employee must be physically capable to wear a respirator).
- May be required to work alternate shift schedules, including shift or weekend coverage.
- Minimum: High School diploma.
