Production Operators (Heavy Lifting Involved): 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift

Role and Responsibilities

• Work in a safe manner and follow safety guidelines
• Understand and follow Food Safety policies
• Read and understand recipes
• Troubleshoot process-related issues within the boundaries of the recipe
• Use digital scales and have a working knowledge of scale functions
• Mix doughs according to recipe
• Have a working knowledge of the mixer, using the timer and batch recipe system
• Follow FIFO (First in First Out), mix lot number and documentation accuracy
• Clean and refill ingredient bins and label bins with correct lot number
• Work in a standing position for entire shift and climb steps and ladders
• Lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly
• Monitor and assist with equipment upstream/downstream to ensure continuous operation
• Clean mixers and work areas properly during and after production runs or changeovers
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area
• Observe all plant safety, GMP and allergen procedures and attend appropriate training sessions
• Manufacture, distribute and consistently maintain safe and quality food by following good manufacturing practices, allergen controls, food defense, HACCP and SQF requirements
• Immediately report all food safety and quality issues to supervisor
• Follow supervisor's directives and support the shift team as needed

Requirements

• Must have experience with operating and maintaining machines and ensuring the entire production line runs efficiently
• Must be able to communicate with others as well as management
• Must have understanding of FDA guidelines and company policies
• Mathematical skills
• Must be willing to work flexible schedules and work in other departments including weekends and holidays
