About the role
The Tool and Die Operator is responsible for the setup, inspection, maintenance, sanitation, and performance of tablet press tooling and related manufacturing equipment within a GMP-regulated production environment. This role ensures tooling quality, equipment readiness, inventory accuracy, regulatory compliance, and uninterrupted production operations. The technician serves as a key resource for troubleshooting, quality assurance, contamination prevention, and continuous improvement initiatives while supporting team performance and operational excellence.
Morning Shift - 6am-2:30pm
Responsibilities
- Set up, inspect, maintain, and sanitize tablet press tooling and associated production equipment to ensure operational readiness.
- Monitor tooling and product quality, identify defects, and support corrective actions to maintain compliance with quality standards.
- Complete and maintain accurate production documentation, including batch records, tooling checklists, SPC data, and operational logs.
- Manage tooling inventory, investigate discrepancies, and ensure the availability and integrity of production tooling.
- Support manufacturing operations through cross-functional collaboration, employee training, continuous improvement initiatives, and adherence to GMP, SOP, and safety requirements.
Requirements
- Experience setting up, maintaining, and sanitizing tooling, tablet press equipment, and related production machinery in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience performing tooling inspections, monitoring product quality, and identifying defects to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Experience maintaining accurate production records, batch documentation, tooling checklists, and operational logs.
- Experience managing tooling inventory, resolving discrepancies, and supporting production readiness and equipment availability.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of GMP, SOP, safety, sanitation, and contamination prevention requirements.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment and tooling issues while maintaining production efficiency and quality standards.
- Proficiency in quality inspections, SPC data collection, and quality control procedures.
- Skilled in inventory management, ERP systems, and production data entry and reporting.
