Production Operator

About the role

The Operator position at our Evansville, IN facility focuses on ensuring finished products are packed correctly according to specifications. Key responsibilities include monitoring sealing processes, checking for proper bag sealing, maintaining product presentation, and performing quality checks.

Responsibilities

• Ensures correct bag and label preparation and usage
• Maintains a clean workspace and completes hourly metal detector checks
• Monitors and trends SPC charts for bag weights and adjusts as needed
• Reports accidents, near-misses, and maintenance issues to the Lead Operator
• Works closely with the Lead Operator to plan daily production schedules
• Drives a fork truck to stage raw materials and inventory
• Creates positive relationships with coworkers

Requirements

• Experience in manufacturing, preferably in a food processing environment
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal procedures
• Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, standing, bending, and working in various conditions

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least one year of relevant manufacturing experience

Pay

The starting hourly wage is $23.47, with potential increases based on performance and tenure.

Schedule

The position is available on a 2nd shift (2 pm to 10:30 pm) and 3rd shift (10 pm to 6:30 am).
