Production Operator - Slitter Operator

Position Purpose

To safely set up and operate the converting equipment/machinery to produce a maximum of slit and folded rolls of standard specifications from WIP stock assuring standard quality requirements are met through diligent inspection.

Principle Accountabilities

• Ensuring effective and efficient operation of slitter machines to maximize productivity.
• Convert large rolls of plastic into smaller rolls at optimal speeds and high quality.
• Maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
• Maintain processes and production records.
• Obtain raw materials and packaging, including using a pallet jack and/or forklift.
• Perform quality inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Perform related tasks as requested by Converting Supervisor or Production Manager.

• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Ability to work with others.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to perform basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to perform mechanical and basic machine troubleshooting.
