Production Operator - Night Shift (Mon - Fri 11pm-7:30am)

About the role

The main purpose of the role is to work as part of a team with responsibilities on the production line reporting to the Team Leader. You will also be required to work flexibly and may be required to work on other related activities when the business need requires.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the work area in a safe and tidy condition.
  • Monitor processes, perform required measurements and tests, monitor the operation of equipment and set equipment controls to maintain right-first-time quality products.
  • Maintain production line operation by following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), solving production process problems, and reporting to others to achieve the short-term manufacturing plans.
  • Monitor equipment operation on a day-to-day basis. Perform basic troubleshooting, notify the Team Leader and Maintenance when a situation is beyond limits. Assist in the repairs to equipment and other simple maintenance tasks. Participate in equipment Preventive Maintenance (PM) and project installations as necessary.
  • Document production and production processes by completing production log sheets, recording the receipt and usage of raw materials, and calculating material usage.
  • Understand customer and product requirements, monitor and adjust processes to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2-5 years working in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working in a team
  • Able to work in a logical organized manner
  • Able to work safely using tools and equipment
  • Able to work effectively, efficiently, and safely to schedules and deadlines
  • Chemical manufacturing experience desired
  • Leverage of Lean Manufacturing (including 5S) desired
  • Familiarity with SAP S4 Hana or equivalent ERP system would be beneficial
  • Must have the ability to prioritize tasks and work well under pressure
  • Computer literate - Experience using MS Office; Excel, Word & Outlook
  • Basic mathematics
  • Accurate data entry
  • Forklift truck license desired
  • Boiler license desired

Qualifications

This role may involve access to Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and export-controlled data subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Employees are expected to follow company policies and security protocols for handling, storing, accessing, and transmitting sensitive information. Compliance training will be required after hire.

Due to federal export control requirements, access to certain information is limited to U.S. Citizens, U.S. Lawful Permanent Residents, and individuals lawfully admitted as asylees or refugees, unless a valid export authorization is obtained. Employment is contingent upon meeting these eligibility requirements and adhering to applicable CUI and ITAR policies.
