Production Operator-Night Shift

Responsibilities

• Responsible for overall preparation, set-up, starting, and running injection equipment (primarily Husky and other OEMs).
• Perform minor adjustments to injection equipment as directed; no mechanical work without prior approval.
• Accurately complete and update information forms and logs, including Injection preform/cap daily logs, destruction logs, and quality forms.
• Recognize unsafe conditions and actions; follow plant safety rules, including safe lifting practices and machine operations. Use personal protective equipment where required.
• Perform visual and mechanical quality checks to ensure production meets quality standards.
• Maintain general housekeeping in all production areas, including break rooms and restrooms.
• Define differences between Vpet, Rpet, and HDPE resins; identify parts safe for grinding and reintroduction to the resin system.
• Maintain quality requirements in accordance with company standards; accurately fill out inspection sheets based on production quality. Recognize and report all quality defects immediately.
• Work in multiple production areas with minimal supervision; perform relief duties when required.
• Troubleshoot minor production equipment issues and collaborate with the maintenance team as necessary.
• Understand and operate computer systems such as Shotscope, Electirc80, Ignition, and others.
• Comprehend line flow and manufacturing processes to maximize throughput.
• Communicate issues clearly and concisely.
• Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in a similar manufacturing environment.
• 2+ years of experience operating multiple manufacturing machines (experience may include a combination of work experience and education).

Preferred Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in a similar manufacturing environment.
• 4+ years of experience in the position.
• 2+ years of experience managing people/projects (experience may include a combination of work experience and education).
• Associate's Degree.

Education

• Minimum Required: High School Diploma or GED.
• Preferred: Associate's Degree.

Schedule

• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, day or night, on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule.
