Production Operator II (Swing)

About the role

Responsible for performing processes relating to the manufacture of technical ceramics and/or metals following work order specifications. Works within a team environment to meet departmental goals and maintains work area cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Operate multiple basic production machines and/or a single complex, technical production equipment to manufacture parts in compliance with work order instructions; make machine adjustments and contact appropriate personnel when needed
• Inspect parts to determine if product meets quality/customer specifications and take appropriate action concerning parts that do not meet standards
• Transfer parts to the next process via computer software
• Load, unload, and stack product; transport product via hand-truck, forklift, crane, or hoist
• Clean work area, machines, tools, and equipment
• Train incoming operators on processes and procedures
• Wear required personal protective equipment at all times in designated areas

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not necessary
• A minimum of six (6) months manufacturing experience

Skills

• Understand and act on verbal and/or written instructions
• Read/interpret standard and metric measurements
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
• Knowledge of handheld measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, drop gauges, etc.
• Assess product quality deficiencies to determine disposition; report to appropriate personnel
• Exhibit attention to detail as well as excellent listening skills
• Able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds

Schedule

Monday - Friday: 2:00pm - 10:30pm with a $2.50 shift differential. Training on Days for 3 weeks (6am - 2:30pm).

Pay

Target hiring range: $17.10 - $20.64 per hour.
