Production Operator II - MS- New Bern - 1st shift 2HL

About the Role

As a 2-Handle Material Stocker on 1st shift, you will be responsible for storing, issuing, and moving a variety of materials and products. This role involves frequent lifting of boxes (3-45 lbs) off pallets (6 inches off floor to chest level) and/or VGV’s. You will maintain and verify actual inventory, supply parts for production lines, and transport materials throughout the plant using various material handling equipment. Additionally, you may disassemble, sort, repair, and salvage products, ensuring both quality and quantity of work produced. This position also includes assisting in training other associates, flexing into the line as needed, and maintaining a neat, orderly, and safe work area.

Responsibilities

• Store, issue, and move materials and products, including frequent lifting of boxes (3-45 lbs) off pallets or VGV’s.

• Supply parts for production lines and transport materials throughout the plant.
• Operate various material handling equipment.
• Disassemble, sort, repair, and salvage products as needed.
• Ensure accuracy of inventory records and quality of work.
• Assist in training other associates and flex into the line as required.
• Maintain a neat, orderly, and safe work area.
• Plan and organize daily line schedules, including leading the cell in the team leader’s absence.
• Identify and implement improvement ideas in the work area.
