Responsibilities

  • Analyze and weight production process performance, reporting, and monitoring results from each station
  • Perform maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting of line and pipe
  • Ensure production documentation compliance including audit of SWIS (Standard Work Instruction Sheets) and quality objectives in a manufacturing environment
  • Oversee the operation of the Low Pressure/High Pressure treater under the direction of Low Pressure/High Pressure Supervisor/Crew Leader
  • Transfer finish material from Mixing or Casting station to Casting or Polishing station
  • Count pre-sheets and place each at the right station
  • Perform repetitive tasks to complete production operations
  • Monitor and inspect sheets for defects and size during operation
  • Clean up pipe, roller, and filter as needed
  • Load/Unload protective film by lift
  • Cut down patterns or overlay if needed to reduce loss
  • Monitor pattern colors and designs
  • Operate lift to exchange pallets and reorganize mixing inventory
  • Perform housekeeping in Casting & Polishing area
  • Pass a color test
  • Treat decorative papers to meet quality specification targets

Requirements

  • Knowledge of safety standards applicable to production areas and other pertinent rules/regulations governing
  • Ability to communicate well in a production operation environment
  • Knowledge of hazardous waste materials and safe handling procedures
  • Comfortable and safety-conscious when operating machinery
  • Ability to drive a forklift and pallet jack
  • Ability to work with certain chemicals (such as Methyl Methacrylate, Ethyl Acetate, Acetone, etc.)
  • 1+ years of work experience

Physical Requirements

Heavy work. Continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, pushing, climbing, and lifting material or equipment of heavy weight (>50 lbs).

Work Environment

Located in an environment with regular exposure to fumes or odors, temperature extremes, or loud noises which cause noticeable discomfort or moderate risk of accident or illness.
