About the Role
Operate lining, molding, and auxiliary equipment as assigned by rotation schedule or supervisor. Perform order and material changes, machine start-ups, and shut-downs for both lining and molding machines. This is a safety-sensitive position.
Responsibilities
- Identify issues and troubleshoot machines to produce quality parts safely.
- Notify mold tech, shift lead, or shift supervisor of any molding machine irregularities.
- Perform order changes: enter start-up and shut-down details into the DelmiaWorks system.
- Enter all downtime reason codes into the ERP system for tracking.
- Verify raw materials comply with work requirements.
- Sample and visually inspect production every 30 minutes, document quality inspections hourly, and place product on hold by entering process correction (PCR).
- Prepare for color changes; notify mold tech, lead, or supervisor when a color change is needed.
- Inform supervisor/lead of substandard production quality.
- Check material quality and request additional materials if necessary.
- Ensure all machine sensors, cap-guides, and adjustable conveyors are operating properly.
- Inform supervisor/lead of machine problems and fill out maintenance work requests (MRO).
- Report to supervisor/lead if machines are not capable of running at standard.
- Clean machines and work areas of material, caps, oil, etc.; clean filters and perform scheduled sanitation duties.
- Fill and empty color and virgin hoppers.
- Segregate, inspect, and sort scrap material.
- Relieve Production Operators and Mold Techs during breaks.
- Serve as backup for Production Operators and Mold Techs on other shifts; cover absences/vacations on a volunteer basis.
- Follow all GMP guidelines and adhere to all safety rules and procedures.
- Complete all necessary documentation for assigned machines and follow the manufacturing Work Order (BOM).
- Reintroduce rejected parts after physical inspection if parts are deemed good.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by supervision/management.
Other Responsibilities
- Attend Green Area Meetings.
- Follow all Food Safety and GMP-related policies and procedures.
- Follow all Safety Rules, policies, procedures, and work instructions.
- Sort through and visually inspect rejected cartons.
- Serve as backup for Off Shift Production Operator and Mold Technician.
- Complete appropriate Track Pro/Paulson training for the position.
Requirements
- Minimum: High School diploma or equivalent.
- Good verbal and written English skills.
- Mechanical aptitude required.
Physical Demands
- Pushing or Pulling (5-25 lbs. typically 40–70% of the day) – broom, scrap boxes/Gaylords.
- Pushing or Pulling (25-60 lbs. typically 15-40% of the day) – color barrels, liner material.
- Lifting or Carrying (5-25 lbs. typically 0-15% of the day) – scrap material.
- Lifting or Carrying (25-60 lbs. typically 15-40% of the day) – buckets of color.
- Simple grasping (15-70%).
- Firm grasping (15-70%).

- Allen wrenches, calipers, scales, manual pallet jack, welding gloves, and face shield.
