Production Operator I
Responsibilities
- Completes related paperwork, reports, and support functions.
- Performs work in accordance with the production schedule provided by the production planner.
- Informs supervisors of any significant problems, issues or concerns.
- Completes production records and inventory transactions.
- Updates process documentation (bill of materials) as work processes are completed.
- Updates raw material inventory using computer software (Deacom).
- Uses WMS scanners to complete all production and packaging transactions.
- Follows detailed instructions and guidelines for specialty packaging program.
- Follows established production procedures and instructions.
- Follows quality and safety standards.
- Mets production deadlines.
- Cleans, secures, and maintains work areas.
- Participates in various EHS or other team activities.
- Performs shipping and receiving functions.
- Performs any operations related functions within business needs and the Skills Matrix.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Technician experience is desired.
- 3+ years of manufacturing experience (chemical packaging experience preferred).
- 3+ years of forklift experience (forklift certification desired).
- HAZMAT training (Hazwoper, etc) or experience desirable, but not required.
- Must be able to read and perform manufacturing work instructions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Maintains a strong attention to detail and accuracy when performing all aspects of the job.
- Solid troubleshooting and decision-making skills.
- Ability to perform basic computer functions (computer skills such as ERP knowledge and Microsoft Office a plus).
- Strong mechanical ability.
- Experience with WMS scanners a plus.
Pay
Competitive pay commensurate with experience in a similar position. The range for this position is $21.00 - $22.50 per hour, but actual compensation will vary depending upon a new hire’s experience and qualifications as well as internal equity.
