Production Operator I

About the role

We are hiring a Production Operator I in Santa Fe Springs, CA. The position is open and pays $20.00 /hr. - $24.00 /hr. with comprehensive family benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, and disability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the cylinder requalification and repair process
• Move industrial gas cylinders to different areas of the plant and load/unload cylinders from delivery trucks
• Perform cylinder cleaning, painting, and general maintenance
• Organize and prioritize cylinders for efficient retesting and handling
• Guide forklift, hand-truck, pallet-jack, chain hoist, etc. to load/unload compressed and liquid industrial gas cylinders
• Load cylinders onto vehicles with proper technique or with the aid of material handling equipment
• Transfer plant cylinders to different areas within the facility using a forklift
• Keep the team informed if truck loading duties cannot be accomplished for any reason to ensure smooth operations
• Replace pallet straps as necessary to maintain safety standards
• Ensure documentation is accurate and completed as needed
• Identify any equipment or facility improvements or defects to the supervisor
• Report any accident or injury promptly to foster a safe work environment

Requirements

• Ability to work in a drug-free workplace
• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent preferred
• One (1) year related experience and/or training preferred
• Customer service oriented and able to interact with fellow Associates in a professional manner
• Efficient in a fast-paced environment and detail-oriented with good organizational skills
• Basic mathematic and written skills

• One (1) year related experience and/or training preferred

Pay
