Production Operator I
About the role
Wilbert Funeral Services, Inc. is part of the global industrial organization Marmon Holdings, which is backed by Berkshire Hathaway. As a Production Operator I, you will be assigned to one of the three main production departments within the manufacturing facility: Stamping, Assembly, or Finish. The primary functions of these departments include stamping parts for metal burial caskets, welding and grinding stamped parts, and installing finishing parts such as beds, mattresses, and fabric coverings.
Responsibilities
The essential duties and responsibilities of this role include performing tasks satisfactorily in any of the production departments, following standard and complex instructions, and operating machinery. You will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, lift or move materials, and maintain high standards of safety and quality.

Requirements
A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is preferred. No experience is necessary, but experience in areas such as press operation, welding/grinding, sewing, or hand tools is preferred.
Qualifications
The Production Operator I will remain actively signed off on 0-8 production-related jobs within their assigned department.
Physical Requirements
The working conditions and physical requirements of this job include standing, walking, sitting, and talking or hearing. You must be able to handle, lift, and load caskets up to approximately 100lbs, and work in a moderate noise level environment.
Skills
Preferred skills include experience with press operation, welding/grinding, sewing, or hand tools.
