Responsibilities
- Adhere to all safety and housekeeping requirements within a plant warehouse setting.
- Operate a forklift to load and unload finished product and raw materials to/from trucks, railcars, and the production line in a timely manner.
- Interpret customer orders to pull, stage, load, and check materials, ensuring accurate and timely shipment.
- Record shipping data and other required results accurately.
- Troubleshoot and apply basic maintenance skills to service equipment.
- Actively participate in plant safety and continuous improvement initiatives as directed by supervision.
- Adapt to scheduling requirements, including shift work, overtime, weekends, and other applicable assignments.
Requirements
- Able to safely operate a forklift in a manufacturing setting.
- Ability to inspect and troubleshoot forklifts to detect issues and maximize operational availability.
- Ability to interpret verbal instructions and written documents such as customer orders.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
- Proficiency in accurately recording shipping data.
- Basic maintenance skills to help service equipment.
- Effective teamwork and communication skills with all co-workers.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
Schedule
3rd shift – 10:45 PM to 7:00 AM
