Production Operator
About the role
The Production Operator will be located onsite in Minden, LA and reports through to the Plant Manager. This position supports safe and efficient manufacturing of energetic materials by executing manual production activities, operating equipment, handling materials, and packaging finished goods. This role requires strict adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards while working in a team-oriented, industrial environment.
Responsibilities
- Execute production activities including operating equipment, staging materials, weighing, and packaging finished product in accordance with standard procedures
- Follow all safety requirements, including PPE, explosive handling protocols, and site-specific procedures to maintain a safe work environment
- Accurately record and/or communicate production data, batch information, and material usage to ensure traceability and compliance
- Transport materials and finished goods using forklifts and other approved equipment as needed
- Maintain housekeeping, inspect work areas and equipment, and report issues to support safe, reliable operations
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED with ability to read, write, and perform basic math
- Ability to obtain and maintain required federal and state explosives licenses, including background checks and drug screening
- Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment with exposure to outdoor conditions and physical demands
- Ability to follow detailed procedures and work safely in a regulated, high-hazard environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, and manual handling
Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing, chemical processing, or powder handling environments
- Prior experience operating forklifts or material handling equipment

Pay
The good faith base hourly rate for this role is $21.66 per hour at the time of this posting. Where you fall within the range depends on your experience, skills, and location. This range reflects base salary only and does not include benefits or bonus/incentive.
